AudioHope AIT Program
Offering Hope for those who need it most!

We have all used music to soothe our nerves or to help us relax. Each of us has a piece of music we refer to as "my song". In some unspoken way we all know the many ways that music can touch us. But what if You couldn't do that? What if everything you heard was garbled, ... or just much too loud? Wouldn't everything you tried to do be much more difficult? Frustrating? That is the way life is to an individual with Auditory Processing Distortions.
Those with auditory processing difficulties may exhibit the following behaviors:

  • Daydreaming or attention drifts
  • Inability to stay focused
  • Respond to only part of a verbal command
  • Easily distracted by random noises
  • Slow response time
  • Auditory comprehension problems
  • Tuning out
  • Language delay or disorder
  • Inconsistent performance in school

AudioHope can help.

Wouldn't you like to see one or all of these changes in your child?

  • Increased Attention
  • Improved Social Behavior
  • Decreased Irritability
  • Improved Speech skills
  • Decreased Impulsivity
  • Better Eye contact
  • Reduced sensitivity to sound
  • Followed instruction better

AudioHope is a non-invasive Music Therapy program. It is designed to aid those with auditory processing problems gain a better quality of life through hearing improvements. Some insurance companies will even cover this procedure. Please click here to see the FAQ about the Insurance Codes. Auditory Integration Training is a form of intensive non-invasive treatment for those who suffer from hearing sensitivity and distortions in hearing. AIT provides stimulation to the hearing mechanism, which produces more normal hearing following treatment. Hearing anomalies can affect many aspects of normal everyday life, especially behavior, sensitivity to noises, social interaction, speech and language development and learning. AudioHope is a sound and music program designed to be implemented by professional Speech-Language Pathologists who seek to remediate speech/language delays in their patients.

AudioHope employs an auditory integration training device which facilitates an individual's responsiveness to his or her surroundings, often including a corresponding increase in more attentive behavior to the school, work and home environments. The program may be used to remediate sound-related perceptual distortions, "unbalanced" hearing and sound sensitivity in children and adults. The system uses specially selected music processed through a proprietary device. This processing is similar to an electronic stereo equalizer. The device plays the audio through high quality stereo headphones AudioHope's training program consists of:
· 2 consultations
· 2 audiometric evaluations
· 2 educational and developmental evaluations
· 20 half-hour (30 mins.) sessions with the AIT device
Two sessions per day are scheduled for 10 days. Sessions are scheduled monthly.

AudioHope knows that you are most likely to be burdened by hours of endless paperwork and trips to clinics or doctor's offices. We have designed our intake and consultation procedures to minimize your paperwork. Most of the initial consultation can be done with just a phone call. You will never get a confusing automatic phone maze. There is a real person at the end of the line ... every time.
We know that you have a busy schedule so, we make it even easier for you, AudioHope will make housecalls! Consultations, hearing tests, and treatment sessions can be done in any quiet room in your home. Our follow-up consultations can be done in your home and/or over the phone.
Follow-up is what makes the difference between AudioHope and other training providers. We track an individual's progress months and years after the last treatment. Some beneficial changes take longer to be noticed than the immediate effects of the Auditory Integration Training sessions. Follow-up consultations can be accomplished either in person or with a short phone consultation.
